Explore Your Future in Sustainable Agriculture!
Are you aged between 15 to 24 and interested in hands-on learning, sustainable food production, and exploring career pathways in agriculture? Growing Together invites you to join our free, interactive workshops designed to introduce young people to skills in permaculture, small-scale farming, and food production.
These workshops are part of the South Coast Regional Youth Food Futures project—a collaboration between SAGE, Growing Together, Grow the Future, the Office of Regional Youth, and the Southern NSW Drought and Innovation Hub—helping young people gain real-world experience and insights into careers in sustainable agriculture.
Term 1 Workshops (10:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
- Friday, 28 March – Permaculture in Practice for Everyday Living
- Friday, 4 April – Productive Small Animals for the Backyard
- Tuesday, 8 April – Pizza & Sourdough Making
Location: Growing Together Market Garden, Milton
Cost: Free! Lunch provided.
Who Can Register?
These workshops are ideal for young people aged between 15 to 24 who:
- Have an interest in gardening, sustainability, or primary industries.
- Want to try hands-on activities to explore potential career paths.
- May prefer alternative learning experiences outside the classroom.
- Are part of work experience, wellbeing, or disengagement programs
